Redwall Food: What the heck is it?

Panelist: A-tha-lia NHC

Do you know what a flan is? A scone? A yellow cheese with chesknutters in it? I used Dictionary.com to find the definition of various foods commonly eaten in Mossflower.

--A Flan
According to my mom, it's a custard-thing. According to Dictionary.com:
"flan  n.
1. A tart with a filling of custard, fruit, or cheese.
2. A metal disk to be stamped as a coin; a blank."

Therefore, in conclusion, definition 1 makes the most sense. Number 2  may  make cents, but they don't have cents in Redwall, so we'll go with 1: a tart. But wait! What is a tart?!

--A Tart
"tart  n.
1. A pastry shell with shallow sides, no top crust, and any of various fillings.
2. Chiefly British. A pie.

Conclusion: A flan is a pastry shell with shallow sides, no top crust, with a filling of custard, fruit, or cheese from Britain.

--A Scone
I had always thought of it as a biscuit. I like biscuits. Biscuits are good. *nods*
"scone  n.
1. A small, rich, biscuitlike pastry or quick bread, sometimes baked on a griddle.
2. Utah. Yeast bread dough, deep-fried and served with honey and butter or with a savory filling."

Well.. I guess I was partly right, anyway. I  never knew scones had to do with Utah...
Conclusion: Scones have something to do with Utah, but  moreso with biscuits.

--Cordial
It's not a food, but it's made into many different kinds of drinks. So. Yeah.
"cor·dial   n.
1. A stimulant; a tonic.
2. A liqueur."

Definition number 1 is confusing, and number 2... Sheesh! They let DIBBUNS drink this stuff?! Don't they have an age limit or something?! I'M INSULTED. I WANT MY MOMMY--err, LAWYER!

*clears throat*
Conclusion: Underage drinking in Redwall is legal, and this makes Atha very insulted.
Moving on to our final food:

--Cheese
I like cheese. Cheese is good. But what is cheese?
"cheese   n.
1. a. A solid food prepared from the pressed curd of milk, often seasoned and aged.
    b. A molded mass of this substance.
2. Something resembling this substance in shape or consistency."

Final Overall Last Conclusion: I'm hungry.
